First of all, hello everybody.

I recenty bought a D2Pro 9 Wire from here

http://www.wii-chip.co.uk/wii-mod/index.html

I installed the chip but I cant get the WII to read any discs when the D2Pro is installed. If I didconnect the D2Pro the Wii will read games again fine, so i dont think I have damaged anything. I wouldnt class myslef as an electronics expert but I have modified consoles before with no problems.

when I put an original game into the Wii drive the disk sucks in a couple of cm at a time and very slowly. when the game is fully inserted the Wii just tells me to "Please insert disk". The red LED on the D2Pro stays perminatly on but the green? (other) LED never lights up.

I have tested that I have 0 ohms with all the connections from the Wii to the D2Pro and made sure I havnt sorted out one pin on the chip to the next leg.

Does anybody have any sugestions I could try? or have heard of this before.

My Wii firmware is 3.2E

Hi,

You could try soldering the 15wire install, thats everything but the region free wires. What are the status LED's doing? I fitted mine only a few days ago and its working a dream. LED's on mine work like this, red light turns on for 1-2 secs when wii is powered up. When backup disk is inserted the red light stays on and the blue flashes, I guess this means its passing data. Try the 15 wire, I know my D2Pro firmware was not ok for 9 wire or 13 wire.

Oh and the (Blue) led will not flash when original game is inserted, only when I reads a non-original.

I had this and it was pins bent in wii clip you can straghten them out with a pin but very carefully as the guides break very, very easily...

Either that or chip/clip is faulty if pins look ok send back.

It wont be the console if you have right chip/clip config

Hope this helps

Anyone had problems with D2prov and clip when on standby???

I have installed 4 clips and all of them stop working if wii is left on standby but if you switch off totally for five minute and turn back on it works ok???

D2C chip sets all of them....

I asked modcentral where i bought them from and they suggest removing CLK jumper and soldering J wire, anyone done this???

Cant solder but for one wire might learn!

Thanks

Al

I am having the exact same problem! It doesnt want to accept the discs properly and when it does it only plays discs when it wants to and i get the message "please insert disc". Also the motor never quits running some times.

Did you manage to solve the problem? or has anyones else

thanks
