Hey guys, I don't actually have a modchip yet but I'm burning my backups beforehand so that I can test them right away when I do get the d2pro installed.

I'm trying to test Twilight Princess and Okami for my Wii (I've both the games [get Okami if you liked Zelda, we need more games like these!!] but I dl'd them because I don't have the drives for ripping.)

The Twilight file saved on my computer is a single large file, and it's icon is the stacked books, so I assume it's a compressed rar file that needs to be unrar'd. The properties show that it's 4.37 GB size, but in brackets it's 4,699,979,776 bytes, which is supposed to be a perfect dump. Still it's not showing a CD icon like all my PC game isos. Anyway when I try to extract here a pop-up says
"The archive is either in unknown file or damaged".

I initially thought it's just a bad file, but my Okami (rar/iso file is like that was well, 4.37 GB on the outside but 4,699,979,776 bytes in brackets, and also can't be extracted- same error. I can still burn them, imgburn still writes the file, but it's technically 4.37 gb isn't it, since I did not unrar it? And in any case I can't test them yet without a modded Wii, but I'm pretty sure the files should've become an ISO cd-looking file before they work properly. Are these just two bad files? I'm dling Wii Sports and will try that one too.

Well it would be useful if you told us what the file extension of the games was. Still, if imgburn accepts it then it must be some kind of image file, even if its not an iso.

Hello

Um I'm not sure what extensin it is, viewed in details mode "type" of file is listed as winrar archive. When I right-click though there's the option of burn using imgburn, or scan gmb-tloztpu.iso (gmb-tloztpu's the filename). The heck lol is this a rar or iso, weird

If its says iso then its an iso. Your file assocoations must be set up to have iso images open with winrar, though in my experience winrar can rarely open them.

In this case it definatly won't be able to open the iso since I dont know of any programs that can open a wii iso.

Ah thank you, I think these are indeed iso files....I unchecked "iso" in winrar's file associations and the zelda file is indeed listed as an iso and not winrar archive now. Is it normal for the properties to show it as 4.37gb size and 4,699,979,776 bytes in brackets though?

Also the thing that made me unsure was because the Zelda file came with a readme that said to unrar the file and then burn the iso, which was why I tried unraring the single file in the first place. Do you think it was previously a bunch of files that was then unrar'd and uploaded as a single one?
