I have a question about a brand new PSP my cousin just purchased with the offical fireware 3.90 (and yes, I've searched hours on the forums, with no resolution). See, I'm kinda frustrated, because I planned on this to go smoothly -- like 20 mins at the most -- and poof, I'm done. Because I modded my other slim PSP two months ago with no problems, as far as the pandora battery and memory card goes.
I purchased a pandora battery and the magic memory card for the first mod, and it went smooth -- no problems at all; my cousin's PSP, though, it doesn't flash or anything, the power button just lights up for 3 seconds, and that's it. Anyway, I'm basically wanna know why it doesn''t work on this PSP, is it too new, or does the battery/memory card only work once (it shouldn't)? Oh, and about the memory card, it has all the files, but one is 96kb, and it's corrupt -- could that be the problem?

Battery and Memory should work over 1 time, if the file is corrupted that might be the case, what you can do is use your Battery and right now just create a new Memory Stick, format it with the stickies above and install the memory again, that should do the trick, I have hear another kinda problem just like this one, but dont know why it happens!
PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS
Nintendo DS [+[__]%]: EZ Flash 5 Plus + 1GB MicroSD + EZFlash 3in1
Nintendo Wii: 3.2U + 1GB SD Card + WiiKey 1.9s

Hey man, thanks for the quick response. Yeah, I thought it should work more than once. I'll try that, and if it doesn't work, oh well, (they always get me to do this type of stuff, since I'm the only computer savvy one).

hi
I made a pandory battery with my old phat battery and modded two psp, then a week later I try modding another psp and the thing wouldn't work. Not sure what happen but I try and try and finally give up. I went to this site and pick up a battery tool to mod my psp and the thing work great. It cost me $20 buck for it, check it out:

I've had this problem before. I think tampering with the magic memory stick (putting on files, removing files, saving on it or anything in general) will undo its magicness.

I suggest you use this installer instead of making a magic memory stick manually. It worked for me. Since you already have the battery. There's a game eboot file called "Pandora's Firm. installer" that the program will put onto your memory stick during the process. After that, you can end the program, then just run that pandora's firm. installer and try the pandora's battery downgrade again. It should work after that. If not, turn on the program again and do everything it says (aside from the battery making part, just don't run the battery creator eboot, but do everything else), and then it should work fine. Post if you have any trouble.

No, writing on the Magic MS won't do anything to its "magicness"...
