I tried backing up this movie and had no luck. When I put the dvd in my drive - it comes up with no dvd disc. So then I switched drives and same thing. I used the latest anydvd and ripit4me - it has no title. Need help with this movie. Any idea - did it have a title for you? Please help.

Thank You!

Extraordinarily easy. The latest AnyDVD, prior to yesterday's update, in my usual DVD process, worked.

That's odd that the disc is not being acknowledged. Is it dirty? Try giving it a cleaning.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

Disc is either dirty or a bad press.

Agree. Clean and retry, if no luck exchange your copy.

This movie was a breeze. I used DvdFab Platinum.

I'm having the same problem with Untraceable using the new version DVDfab HD 5.0.2.0, it goes about halfway and then gives me an error message to retry abort etc. Yesterday on the automatic download I got a new deal where I can try Platinum or Gold free for 30 days so I will try Platinum to see if this will do the job. With either of the new versions it takes an extremely long time just to scan the media before it will go into copy mode as opposed to the older version 4.1.0.2. I tried to copy Untraceable first with the 4. version and had the same trouble then the auto download came up and I got the new version, same problem with the Fab HD 5.version so now I will see if the Platinum version will do the job.

This isn't working for me either. I've tried different things and still haven't been able to get it to work.

1st thing I tried *Application supposed to be used AnyDVD, DVDShrink*
(Guide -

1) Run AnyDVD 6.4.2.2 (didn't rip)
2) Run DVDShrink (used for ripping)

*Results:
It stops at 48% and gives me a Cyclic Redundancy Check error.*

2nd I tried *Applications supposed to be used AnyDVD, CloneDVD*
(Guide - http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/15/59)

1)Run AnyDVD 6.4.2.2 (didn't rip)
2)Run CloneDVD 2.9.1.7 in CloneDVD mode (used for ripping)

*Results:
It still stops at 48% saying that it's unable to read D:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_02_1.VOB 30 TCSectorReader.*

3rd thing I tried *Applications supposed to be used AnyDVD, RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter , DVDShrink* (Guide - http://www.my-guides.net/en/content/view/34/26)

1)Run AnyDVD 6.4.2.2 (didn't rip)
2)Run RipIt4Me (used for ripping)
3)DVD Decrypter (used for ripping)

*Results:
After DVD Decrypter is finished I go back to RiptIt4Me and click to continue and it says something about unprotected cells having not been ripped saying that this could be caused by a scratched/dirty disc and recommends to re-rip the disc.

To everyone that got this to work easily do you actually rip using AnyDVD to the hard drive first or do you just launch the applications back to back because that's what I've done before in the past without any problems having to rip to the hard drive using AnyDVD. I'm going to try this and see if it works using AnyDVD to actually rip to the hard drive first.

Sorry about the double post but I just tried to rip with AnyDVD and it stopped and said the same thing about reading that same sector and it aborted it self at 48% again.

I'm convinced this is not that simple seeing as this is the 2nd copy of Untraceable I've tried doing all 4 different things to it.

Using DVD Decrypter by itself didn't work either.

You have said on several messages that AnyDVD is not working for you. Are you right clicking the fox head and telling it to rip to HDD? If you are and this is your second copy then I think that you may need a firmware update for your DVD drive. How old is the drive and have you updated the firmware for it?

I rip with AnyDVD
I then process the files with DVDReMake Pro
I then run it through DVD-RB and encode with CCE
Then I burn with ImgBurn.

The movie gave me no trouble at all.

It's already been stated in another thread that there is no special protection on this one and either DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter can handle this one. If you can't copy this disc, you have a bad press and need to exchange it. I did it with DVD Decrypter. I can provide the log if anyone cares to see it.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

OK. Well this is the 2nd copy of the movie that I've tried. I'm using a MacBook that happens to have Windows on it. I guess I'll have to get my hands on a third copy and prey.

I got Mad Money to work. But still can't get Untraceable to work. I guess I got 2 bad presses if everyone saying it was easy.
