Hi my PSP firmware is 3.52 and i wanted to run FF7, my god that game is good.

So
1) I downloaded the "easy Pandora GUI" and fromated my memory stick(2g)
2) I got a mate to put my memory stick and batery into his PSP and got him to run the "Pandora Battery Creator".
3) The menu came up, and we backed up original by pressing triangle. Then the PSP restarted.
4) We went back into the "Pandora Battery Creator" and created pandora batery. The PSP restarted again.
5) Now we took my battery out my mates PSP along with my memory stick and put it back in myn.
6) To my discomfort the psp will not boot, all i get is a green light and a black screen. Also i cannot turn it off.

What should i do next pls. Do I have to plug it into AC? (Im at work donot have AC with me.)

Any help weould be muchly appreciated :)
Cheers in advanced.

Also i found this... maybe it gives a blank screen when it doesnt read anything from the memory card?

Try this...

I had many of the same problems other people have been having. But I'll quickly tell others how I got it working.

After following the instruction for all this stuff several times, I kept just getting a black screen and a green power light on my fat PSP after inserting the Magic MS and Pandora's battery.

It turns out my PC (running XP Pro) wasn't doing something correctly as I kept getting an error something like 'Checking all sectors: to small sector' instead of 'Checking all sectors:OK' at the ens of copying all the files.

I tried installer on my GF's laptop (also running XP Pro), and I didn't get that error. After inserting the Magic MS and the hardwired pandora's battery, it worked first time.

To everyone out there stuck on the black blank screen with a green power light. Just try the installer on a different PC or laptop. Maybe try a few different ones.

Good luck!!
Credit to the poster...

i will try this now...

just keep trying on a different computer and/or with different programs... i got it to work :D

So to clarify my PSP is fine and my battery is pandora but my memory stick is not formatted correctly? Hence the black screen + green light.

Can anyone confirm these next steps for me:
1) boot the PSP without the battery in it (on AC)
2) format my memory stick from psp menu (? i read this somewhere)
3) open the memeory stick from the computer via usb(ontop psp).
4) format my memory stick with [Someone pls put link here] to get it to run my pandora's battery.
5) boot the PSP up with pandora's battery
6) [??? have no idea]

*note ATM my PSP runs fine without battery in it. Also it still says version 3.52(official). When battery is in PSP black screen, No L or R does anything.

Thanks you muchly to whoever can help.

OK, so your mate has CFW. Use his PSP to create DCv5 from Here. Then just put the Mem stick in the PSP then place your pandoras battery in and the screen should appear to install CFW.

you need to create a magic memory stick.

Tutorial:
first you need to format memory card using the computer.
download pre-made slim + fat 3.80 m33-5
extract to memory card
open pandora gui
skip step 1-3 and click write ipl

insert the memory stick into psp, then put pandora battery in.
you should get a screen with white writing then press x.

when done press x to shut down.

i mod, fix and report great news about psp.

im not gonna look at the replys to see how far this thread is going but...u said that u were using a 2gb card right? well sometimes with that high of a card there is a formating problem that cant be fixed. so to see if this is the problem, get a 512mb card and make a magic memstick outta that. and if that doesnt work, than its not the memstick. thats the only thing i can think of.......hope this helps......
