If I flash a cisco router, I can do it via the ethernet cable. During the download process, I am asked if I want to delete the Flash image. This means that the entire image is run in RAM.

Is the dbox2 the same?

Can I reflash dbox2 via ethernet? Or does the FTP server depend on the current image?

Anyone a bit techy - plz reply

You can flash through a router using a straight thhrough Cat5E/6 cable or alterantly use a crossover cable direct between Dbox and pc, best to use a null modem cable also.

All you answers can be found at the top of the page in the Dbox2 sticky thread.
