Hello, I have some general inquiries about the whole PSP hacking thing. (Mine is hacked I just want to know some things)

Q1.) Is hacking a PSP illegal

Q.) Is charging for a PSP to be hacked illegal ? If so how do Mod shops do them ?

Q3.) Is downloading games illegal

Q4.) Is transferring games to another memory stick illegal

Q5.) If any of the above are illegal what could be the penalty ?

yes and no due to the fact that its share ware code buy dark alex they should not charge you but dark alex and team m33 cant do anything about it realy but im sure they dont mide (as mod shops e.t.c would donate to them)

Q3.) Is downloading games illegal

in the us and uk yes and no for 24 (you are allowed to keep a backup up game even if you dont have the original game for 24 hours)
also no if you own the game you are free to download it as a back up

in the canada your free to download any game you want (no real copy write laws)

Q4.) Is transferring games to another memory stick illegal

again its basicly the same as above but hell who can tell if you gave it to them

Q5.) If any of the above are illegal what could be the penalty ?

depends on the countries copy write law

in the uk its 10 years in prison and £100,000 fine (i think)

but due to the fact its getting more common your isp will tell you that you have 24 hours to delete a illegal file on your pc or they will take acction

and in the uk there introducing a 3 strike system some time where you get 3 lives to get cort in the act

but as there are millinons of people that do this iv only heard of about 3 people in the uk being procecuted for it and that was only for music.

ISP=Internet Service Provider right? If so, then my ISP must not care... :P
anyway, Driver basically answered your questions right there... hm, I've got a lot of research to do... xD
