Wii update to Ver 3.1u...problem now..

I booted "Iron Man"..my wii updated to Ver 3.1u but when I try to play a back-up of the disk I get error.. #001 "Unauthorized device has been detected". I tried an older back-up of another title and it appeared to work ok..I did try to search for an answer but not really sure what to do next or the solution. Thanks for any help...

What kind of chip are you using? If its a wiikey are you using the very latest chip firmware (I use a wasabi, but I believe its like 1.9s or something like that).

Hi Sorry..forgot that..it is a wiikey chip. I have never installed a firmware that I remember..but just dnloaded the 1.0s. I will give that a try..Thanks

Well I installed the wikey 1.9s..said OK but I have the same problem..unauthorized device...????
