How to get rid of blue message of DVD player on TV?

Hi,
With my Sony DVP NS433 CD-DVD player I can play excellent quality slideshow of digital photos, that I make with Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD v8. Only annoyance that when I press the Next button on remote control to change slide, the usual blue box of operation mode message appears at top right corner of the TV screen. Although it is not disturbing when watching movie, since it disappears the next moment, it is really annoying with slideshow.
Can anybody suggest a way to get rid of it?
