i just realized that i can play back up games without modding my playstation with Swap Magic disc and Momento. i understand that i have to swap disc every time before i play a game using Swap Magic. Also, that i can just insert and play with Momento. Momento seems better and convenient.

1. but what does it require me to buy?
2. and also, do i need to have hard drive in ps2? (it talks about installing something on PS)
3. does it work on every version of ps2? mine is pretty old.

DMS4 EZI LITE SE Solderless ModChip Looks pretty nice too

My PS2 is old so i dont care about warranty
i just want easy and cheapest way to play back up games preferably without switching discs.
So any advice on which one i should get?

thx

That's perfect man, V7 is like the best of the fat PS2's. If I were you I would not get that EZI chip. Most people do not have good results when installing it.

Instead I would recommend Swapmagic. It is compatible with all versions of the PS2 and is also cheaper than Memor32 (loaded with Memento FW).

With Swapmagic you would be able to install an Independence Exploit onto a memory card. Then all you would need really is a PSX game, a HD, and a network adapter. You would then be able to play all your games off the HD through the use of HD Loader.

HD and network adapter is only needed if you want a no swap solution. Swapmagic alone will be enough to play burnt backups.
