Hi All ... well as the subject line mentions, do you by any chance recommend me any reliable source that you know of who sell (cheaper than Sony official website prices) genuine magicstick supported for PSP memory cards? This one is for UK. Thanks in advance

Tesco - http://direct.tesco.com/search/default.a...=35&confirm.y=8

Asda - http://www.asda-electricals.co.uk/shop/p...-w-reader.html?

Thanks a lot for the reply back Dr1ver ... the price of Play.com is too good to be true ... are they any good? i mean yeah of course i myself have never heard of what Mark2 is but certainly have heard about M2 technology ...
Maybe i'll give them a call on Monday and confirm with them before i buy it ....
Also can anyone give me a rough idea how much would be the typical size of an ISO? i can buy a 1GB for £10 which is MagicGate Supported

isos can range from around 400mb to 1.6gb so a 4gb card is best id say

i can tell you that the one from play is not a fake because they would not be able to sell them if they were

but there was no review humm odd but most item dont

i would suggest getting from amazon as well but not from a seller on amazon as they will sell fakes (i know)

heres one on amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/PNY-Memory-Stick...1048114&sr=8-20

its from amazon and not a 3rd party so im sure its not fake but again iv never heard of PNY lol

Thanks for the Dr1ver you literally saved me from buying a 1GB one ... lol @ Dr1ver ... well i don't exactly remember but i think i saw PNY on one of the famous UK stores as well ... yeah well th reviews always help you a lot but to be honest never been a huge fan of amazone so i don't really know ... maybe i'll call PLAY.COM and ask them if the know for sure if it's PSP's magicgate supported ...
I went to GAME today and they were selling £49.99 for a 4GB one but if you buy something within the store then they would sell it for £29.99
Below are the prices that i found
GAMESTATION: 1GB £24.99 (That's the only one they had)
ARGOS:- 4GB £59.99
JESSOPH:- 4GB £54.99

still pretty expensive

gamestation arnt to bad

i agree dont trust amazon its starting to become too much like ebay in the way of shoddy products

game didnt sound too bad

think tescos is still cheaper

cant think of may other shops hmv might

well ill be just looked at the hmv web site £35 not bad

honestly never bought anything from amazon and don't intend to buy from there as well ... like you said loads of scams going around ... i don't mind ebay but i DO MIND when it comes down to pin point specifications you're actually looking for SO ebay is out of the way ...
You think tesco is cheaper? well i guess HMV is a lot cheaper ... i went down to HMV and they didn't have it in store and guess what? this is EXACTLY the same card which GAME were selling me for £49.99 ... bastids won't even let me try it :D

Thanks for the link kered118 ... well yeah PLAY.COM has a reliable name in the market so i'm banking on the fact that they won't be fake like most of the other internet companies out there ...
The link which i posted for MEMORYBITS isn't bad either. People have given good reviews on their memory sticks as well. I'll be giving both of them a call on Monday morning and see what they have to offer and say about it.

yer they sound good

think i might get a new 4gb and 1gb one from them

so i can store more games on the go and make mms for people

its lilly that they will tell you there real even if they wernt so its trust realy

but there site looks good and the prices are realistic

because i paied £17 for a 4gb (about 1year ago) fake so £27+ is a bit more realistic

lol @ £17 for a fake ... well you never know they might be selling the fakes as well but like you said it's all about trust.
Was just speaking to one of their onlin advisors and they have recommended me the Sandisk gaming card 4GB one ... they say it's real and they buy it direct from the manufacturer ... i'll still call them tomorrow and emphasis more on the FAKE part that WHAT if and WHAT then sort of things

yer its lily they will get them direct from sandisk thats what cuts the price.

if you get it you can check to see if its fake on the psp and if it is im sure you can send it back to them (may be not though)

I think Mark 2 is the new type of PRO DUO cards, much like the SDHC cards. They offer higher capacities and better speeds.

BTW, nice links, will have to look into getting a real 4GB card...

So i guess with those aspects keeping in mind, i just saved £3 quid ... it's always about HOW you play ball ... will confirm if the stick is genuine or not in 3 - 4 days time
