My wii wouldnt turn on the other day and i tried 2 different power supplies do i decided to pop her open with the voltmeter and see what i could find. heres what i found



The fuse i circled is on the bottom of the motherboard. It had power on one side and nothing on the other so i bridged it and the wii fired right up.

Please dont go bridging this without taking a voltmeter to it first to make sure thats your problem.

But anyway i was just telling anyone who might care :)

That's no fuse... identified as R18 (or 16 cannot read under the red circle)

It's a surface mount resistor.

That is a 330 ohm resistor. By looking at that size, I bet it is important not to short it :)

haha wow i'm soo sorry, i put this up after closing the wii up so i didnt really remember where it was. it turns out its on TOP of the wii motherboard. and its right by the power connector. i feel kinda dumb now
