Is Office Max, or any other competitor running a Verbatim sale for 19.99? That way, Best Buy can match it? Either way, it's still a great deal. I think I'm gonna stock up.

Last time I ordered online (Free Shipping) out of 3 Spindles of Sony's {100ct ea.} only one arrived undamaged !!! The media was okay but The cakeboxes were trashed ! Also you may wanna call ahead to your local store to see if they actually have'em last time my store had verbatims on sale they did'nt even have them to sell real bummer !!! I'm Not anti-BestBuy just anti- Poor service and customer appreciation ! Vote with your Feet and your wallet and maybe then they'll all take notice ? Peace and happy hunting CiaO!!!!!!!!!!!

That's odd about Best Buy. You would think with a huge name like them they would have the sale items in stock.

Luckily for me, every time I've gone into BB to buy some media, they're ALWAYS well stocked. Plus, I know of their secret location in the store (if the blank media is not in their normal area, or if they are "sold out"), I always go to their area where they have the extra cakes hidden.

Other than Microcenter I can't seem to find inkjet printable medis on my local B&M stores so I just buy it online through eith Meritline or Supermediastore.

Ran across a 600 pack white inkjet hub printable sale at SMS. Since I don't burn over 8x I went ahead & ordered these. Based on a past purchase they wotk & print great!! Not bad for $204 plus shipping....

When Best Buy is out of the blank DVDs I ask for a Rain Check. They never call when they get them back in so I leave the paper in the car so when I see them later they have to honor the sale price.

SysAdPgh- I"ve heard about the Raincheck But In my case I was so disgusted ,They were completely out on the 1st day of the sale ! Well almost down to 1 50ct. Cakebox !None of the staff I spoke with seemed interested in helping me with information !!! And I had to make a 30mile trip one-way just to get there!!!! - I just said Fudge'em !!! and walked out !! and Next sale Sony's I bought online from them {BESTBUY} with free shipping !!! and out of 3 100ct spindles only one arrived with the cakeboxes undamaged!!! Thankfully the disc were okay !!! but Your paying for the cakebox too and I recycle mine- Like Putting Taiyo Yudens=Valueline 8x DVD-R's in them when I remove the tape wrap. Both of my Orders from BB online arivved in the same size and type box and showed no signs of External damage /shipping distress !!!! so I am left to assumme that The two spindles that they shipped together were damaged before they even sent them out ? So Bingo Got me again ! - And as much as it sounds like I'm madd out the Wazzoo @ Best buy It's not just them most Big retailers have similar Problems - Low paid or low effort ( Don't Give a Rat's A** ) about anything staff !!! - You have only two options Buy somewhere's else !!! ie:Online or you complain to the highest officer in the company and build a fire somewhere under somebody'A** !!!! -Hey I'm Not perfect ,But I can't be the problem every time either ! Will I buy from them again ? Probably assuming that they actually have the item I want at the price they said? I've been involved with Consumer electronics in one way or another for almost 30years !!! -Hifi , Video , Computers ect !!! as a hobbyist/Consumer !!! so I've Seen the Good,The Bad , & The Ugly of it all so to speak !!!!Knowlegdeable staff , Buzzword Boys=BS Artist , and the everyday Don't know don't care crowd !!! sadly many of the big retailers hire these employees and they know nothing about the product but have had sales experience !!! Some do actually care and will educate themselves many will just repeat whatever drivel is in the manufacturers add copy verbatim !!!- or They'll have to ask another person !!!. I'm sorry I went off at the keys !!! To the Good Guys& Gals out there trying to help your customers I say God Bless you all -To the Bad ones I say please go work elsewhere or atleast where I don't shop !!!!!!!!!!- Peace ,love & free shipping we out !!!!!!!!

Well the only Verbs I'd want to buy is inkjet printable which I never see at Best Buy which is why I have to get them online at either SMS or Meritline whichever is cheaper that day. Silver inkjet preferred. White inkjet is ok too which is why I ordered that 600 pack of hub printable TY's during SMS's sale yesterday. Still have 300 silver inkjets left (& about 40 white inkjets) so it will be awhile before I burn the new discs.

I'm in the States & I don't belong to Sams Club. Better for me just to order online & have the package delivered by Fedex or UPS in a few days. I like it that way. But then there is an Officemax close by that has the Verb white inkjet printable (like Microcenter carries) so I could buy it at either store if the sale price is cheap enough. Trouble is my Magnavox DVD recorder doesn't burn it too well (like my Samsung DVD drive in the computer will) so I can only use that 16x media in the computer. The Magnavox likes 16x TY though which is kinda interesting since any other media it burns has to be 8x. Since I don't burn DVD media over 8x in the computer I buy 8x media (either TY or Verb) online which works in both computer & DVD recorder drives.

As to my printer I'm using an Epson RX680 with the Claria inks. The ink seems to last awhile on the text plus graphics setting although it's expensive to buy more so I buy the high capacity 5 packs & then get the regular capacity black. I bought 4 packs of each when I bought the printer 4 months ago & had to open one of the color packs last week. Already replaced 2 catridges and the other 4 will need to be replaced fairly soon. The 680 is not a big ink hog on the medium setting however it will use more ink with the 2 photo settings. It's a large printer with a flatbed scanner (that I don't use) built in. Bought it mainly because it prints on CD's & DVD's with the supplied plastic tray. Have had zero problems with the tray loading unlike the R220 I bought which was a pain in the rear which is why I took it back since the tray loading was very fussy. With the RX680 it's set it & press print. A perfect load every time....

It's also great for printing out DVD sleeves & general web pages plus text. I haven't used it for photo's since I never printed any with my old Lexmark. Basically I'm very happy with my Epson & the CD/DVD printing is a big plus.

I plan to buy 3 or 4 packs of ink at a time when I get down to my last pack. Bought my first ink directly from Epson (2 multi color packs) then bought 2 more multi color packs plus 4 packs of black at a local Microcenter store. Today I checked out Amazon & found the same inks would be $1 cheaper than Microcenter with free shipping since I'm an Amazon Prime member. Guess where I'll be buying ink for this printer? Amazon!!

sounds like you have a nice system going. If you print alot you should look into continuous feed ink systems. They are usally $70 + - but it pays for its self. You can buy ink by the gallon super cheap. Really cheap. I didn't know Magnovox even sold drives.

Where do you find continues feed systems?

As to the Magnavox (made by Funai Corp) DVD recorder I have no idea who makes the internal DVD drive since I've never opened the recorder up to have an inside look. All standalone (without hard drives) DVD recorders burn at 1x & there is no firmware update for it yet even though it's about 8 months old. So I use 8x Verb or TY discs with it & I can also use 16x TY discs too. Some 16x Ritek F1 works well & some doesn't depending on the batch. It records yes however scans on my computer are a combination of goor or bad depending on the batch. I found some 16x Sony that had good results but it may have been a campatible batch as some of the Ritek was. 8x Verb gives great scan results so I either use that or TY in the recorder as well as the computer DVD burner. 16x Verb doesn't scan well after the Magnavox burns i so I can only use that in the computer.

And as to my Epson RX680 printer, I love it!!

Went to Best Buy yesterday and of course they only had 2 in this store. So I asked the clerk, why is it everytime you advertise the Verbatims on sale that you never have any in the store? She couldn't answer me. So I had her look up other Best Buys locations that had more on stock and when I got to the other store they had what seemed like an overstock of them.

Picked up multiple stacks of 100's. Good to go for at least a couple of months.
