Ok, I have a few questions. I have a DVD that I want to take parts of, get them on my PC and share them with my friends. Is there any tools/way to take the DVD and turn it into a AVI file or something, so that I can share it with them? I am a complete noob to this stuff, and I really need some help with this.

So, is there a way to take a DVD and turn it into an AVI file on my PC or no?
