I am backing up all of my DVDs to a NAS for playing through Windows Media Center's DVD library. Everything is going great except for a few movies.

Movies such as Top Gun, Crimson Tide, and Independence Day do not fill up the whole screen when playing. I realize these are widescreen and will not fill up the WHOLE screen, but it is like they are stuck displaying 4:3 on my 16:9 TV, but then there are letterbox bars on top and bottom of the picture. All of the other movies expand to the full width of the TV. I have tried this in multiple play back applications, so it isn't a MCE issue.

I reauthor all my DVDs, taking just the main movie and one audio track. I choose No Compression.

All other movies come out fine.

Thoughts?

Thanks
