livetype title problems in final cut express

ok so i have been using final cut express and livetype for a while, however just recently while making one of my movies, the titles i made that overlay the video didnt show. the clip was right where it shud be, and when i double-click it it shows the words i made to show over the movie, but when the movie plays it does not show up. i have rendered them before so im not sure if its a rendering problem. i already tried remaking and reimporting the titles but it still dont work, can anyone help me?? i honestly have searched and searched. help would be very appreciated. thanks
