Hi just a simple question really...running a network in my house and would like to know how to find out and track who is using my network...thanks in advance.

Which router are you using ? Usually in most routers there will be an option in the settings where it will show you the computer name, mac addresses and IP addresses of those connected to your network.

If you give every machine on your network a relevant name and static ip it will make life much easier. You can also limit the maximum number of allocated ip's so outside access is impossible. Lots of possibilities.
