ok so ive removed the epoxy on my kids 79fl drive what im not about is when "closing the jumper" am i simply running a little extra solder over to the third soldering point? and over on the right side of the chip(using the infectus diagram) they show what looks like an led being soldered to two points what am i suposse to do there? and what is this for? second i reflashed my freinds hitachi 78 with ixtreme 1.4 it will play originals and stealth backups but the backups from when his system was firt flashed a couple years ago wont play is this a bad flash? or do the "older back-ups need to be reburned in a dif.format/way? if so how? thanks for any/all help

i dont know the first answer to your question.
but i know the second
the games have to be FW 1.4 compadiable to play on 1.4 FW
so basically you need new backups. your fw is good to go.
