Are the Verbatims made in India? I've heard that the ones made in India are terrible. The ones made in Singapore are good though. Look on the package and see. It'll say made in India or made in Singapore. That'd be my first guess.

Right after I modded my 360 I tried burning two different games with Xbox Backup Creator using the built in XBC engine and got two coasters. But after I installed Imgburn and started using the Imgburn engine instead I haven't had a coaster yet out of 20 or so burns.

If your discs are made in India try to get some that are made in Singapore. If you can't get any made in Singapore, try another brand. I've heard that Sonys work okay as well as Memorex. Back when I had a modded PS2, all I used was Memorex. But then again that's kind of comparing apples to oranges.

Id also try installing Nero and use the Nero engine instead of ImgBurn. If all else fails, try the XBC engine. The XBC engine didn't work for me but you might have better luck.

As far as your hard disk not keeping up with your DVD writer, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It makes me so mad when people just pull things out of their ass like that.

Also, are you trying to burn the same image over and over? I know that's probably a stupid question and I'm not trying to insult your intellegence, but I'm just wondering. Even if Mulleter says it's okay there might be something wrong with it anyway. I'm also asking because judging by your post, you tried to burn the same image twice.

Good luck. I know how you feel. I was pissed when I trashed two DL discs in a row so I can only imagine how bummed you are. I paid right at 60 bucks for two 20 packs at Newegg and that's cheap. I think Staples wants something like 15 bucks for only three in the retail store.

And finally, it looks like you're getting your images from Usenet. Again I'm not trying to make you feel stupid if you already know and do this, but make sure you run Quickpar on all your downloaded images before you extract them. I don't think the files would even unrar if there were pieces missing, but you never know anything is possible.

Good luck.

"Could anybody tell me what I have to get so my Xbox can play Xbox 360 games?"
