is this normal some times they load streight away.other time i have to turn of the xbox and turn it back on.or eject the disc and try again.a few times ,speicialy with grand theft auto4.

That's not normal. It should load each time and everytime in same amount of time.
The only reason for your problem is bad media.

thats your problem. when you use crappy media you get mixed results like that. unless you use verbatims you're going to keep having that problem until the discs don't read at all

check on ebay for the verbs. and try and get the one's from singapore. Also they have there discs usually at stores like best buy.

It can be the laser as well. I see quite a few over the course of a month which vary considerably in the ability to load known good disks. It is becoming very common to see machines with a manufacture date before 3/2007 which are slow to load, or will not load at all.
It's so common that we have got into the habit of testing every machine on a few burned films and original games to assess the condition of the laser before flashing them.

mine is 02/2006.if the lense goes is it easy to fit a new one.and where do you get them from.

Man that sure is some cheap media.Come on man,11 or something dollars for DL discs.That shows already its a bad media source.I agree with everyone else.If you go with verbs,youll be good.And its all over the guides for flashing.

11 pounds is cheap, however for around 20 pounds you can get verbs. i believe its 20 pounds. anyway 29$ shipped us money if you catch the weekly sales on the web.
