Ok so im trying to burn a movie... for the 5th time. But heres what happens, I encode the AVI file to M2v format with DVDFORGER and try to burn it with Nero. The reason im trying M2V is because if i encode it into Dvd folder format (Video_TS) is because it makes 2 video files and Nero only accepts the second one. The first one gives an error like, cant add "name.mpg" or something like that. so im trying M2V and it does the same thing, except this time its only 1 file and it wont accept that one either. Help please, im about to give up on this.
PS: Im trying to make the video the best quality possible,it has to be near perfect because if its not the im probably just wasting my time when i could directly burn the AVI and it plays fine. please help

Not really familiar with that program, but you do realize that M2V is a video only container...no audio or subs at all. Have you tried any other programs? I did this one with ConvertXtoDVD with no problems and burned with Imgburn. I'm sure DVD Flick (free) would have no problem either and it will create an ISO for easy burning with Imgburn.
I'm with you Rotary...... why didn't Ph3n0m just use NeroVission on the avi file? All this converting and unnecessary processes make errors! Just use NeroVission (because Ph3n0m already has Nero) or use ConvertXToDVD (my favorite with AVI files or MPG files).
I did use nero to burn the AVI but the quality is realy low and i have a flat screen tv with an HDMI capable dvd player so for me its huge step down lol
Zo does it again! to think that you can improve a poor quality downloaded file from the internet is a newbie fallacy! Can you imagine anyone thinking you can take a downloaded file and make it look good on an HD wide screen LCD TV? Now my friend bought a nice new Sony Bravia and everything looks like it's in HD! I would have to bring over a downloaded movie burned to DVD to see how good it looks on their set...... on mine they look like crap compared to store bought DVDs!~
all depends what you grab from wherever ;-] and im not talking HD files of mkv etc just normal xvid. although HD of the same are out there and truely awesome quality!
i can improve an avi to a better looking avi and i send up hdmi cable from my pc to my 42 plasma HDTV with no upscaling either, no its not HD but its very good indeed, like dvd but not quite. if dvd is 10/10 then i get 9/10
so basically grab the best going, then use good tools/filters to touch up. i do brightness and contrast mostly which doesnt deviate too much from the original avi, i do use other filters but i wont go into that here. ;-]
