Question on image viewing and memory stick speed

Hello

I am trying to use my PSP Slim to read some manga. Whenever I zoom in to the image, it takes 3 - 5 seconds for it to take effect, and if I scroll to another part of the page then come back I have to re-zoom again and wait some more.

Is there any way to speed this up? Is it related to the read/write speed of the memory stick?

I am using the Memory Stick Pro Duo. If I switch to the high speed memory stick would that solve the problem?
