OkI have been reading about these mods and I really wanna do this so I went and bought a 2200mah psp-280 for my slim well I have followedthe instructions on the pandorizing the batteries, and I feel I did it right well then I followed the instructions for the one stop guide and well that didnt do anything but when I put the battery in the screen stays black and the power light stays on, well then fiddle with that for a while now I said screw that and jumped on the thread for the unbricking well I followed that to the T and nothing again, I am confused now and I am a bit scared to openup my extra slim battery which I do have 2 batteries still, I am using windows vista 32 home to load this stuff and I am using a 2 gig sony stick I also tried a 2 gig san disk and a 1 gig sandisk, same thing I cannot get into the menu screen. But when I remove the battery and put my slim in and it works great and I can play games like nothing has been done.

I see you created your MMS in Vista - do you have an XP PC to try it on?

Also - have you tried hitting X after you inserted the battery?

It sounds like it's a problem with the memory stick because a black screen with power light is what you SHOULD see with a Pandora battery.

yeah I have tried all of that and nothing different the only thing I have not done was the Xp thing I have a pc but its blue screening and I never tried fixing it cause I am building a quad core right now with vista ultimate, and I have a dual core I built last year with ultimate, and 2 laptops with vista home, I like vista it is clean and I feel more stable,it uses more resources but I have had less problems with vista then xp, the worst thing though about vista is its new so when it has a problem it takes a bit to figure it out, on xp I know it like the back of my hand so its an easy fix. Any way I am rambling I am going to buy a 512 meg stick today and a couple of batteries just in case I know with the money I have spent 10.00 for one battery and 8.00 for another I could buy a datel tool battery, but it is the principal when I set out to do something I dont give up I just quit for a little bit so I dont break something. I know I am a noob when it comes to psp, but I am 25 and very careful with my electronics and mod anything I want, I hve Xmod RC cars that I used to build all the time those are fun, I also as previously stated have modded alot of game systems, I mean hell I used to mod ps1's and fix them for extra car part money. sorry rambling again I am still a noob but not an idiot. thanks for your help

I think your battery is working fine. I still suspect it's the memory stick - and I know there are threads here describing problems making one with vista.

That said, if you only spent 10 and 8 bucks on batteries - are you sure they are legitimate? Only official Sony batteries can be made into Pandora?

I'd used a datel tool to convert my battery.

yeah they are legit from game crazy, I bought them used and made sure they were correct model numbers, but I am about to order a datel battery for this I am just playing around right now I really want to do this but I can wait for sure. I know this really shoul be a start of a new thread but why cant we or someone smart put a solid state hard drive in the psp or posibly a 32 gig compac flash card insid the psp like the datel 4 gig mod. Another thought I had was why couldnt we put a external hard drive on it (powered of course) to store and access games whenever, the only reason I ask is because I just couldnt see taking my umd drive out for a 4 gig drive especially when the memory stick can hold 1-8 gigs and maybe more soon. I am talking about some mods I saw on acidmods.com.

Oh well I am definately gonna try this stuff out tonight I will go ahead and make my desktop a dual boot tonight and put xp on it for a while.

Yeah I used psp s110 battery 1200 mah (slim) and a 2200 mah psp 280 (fat)

I also soldered a jumper to them both and connected back to the leg I cut and they work like a champ so I know I didnt screw up the battery now. ( believe me I can solder like a pro and little btiny board are awesome to work on I actually built a x-mod that did 28 mph on the little rc dyno. I finally burned out the motor and Li Po batteries in a torture test, I am gonna do it again soon and this time I will tape it with my hd camera so it can be seen) I love to smoke things and watch them fry it is so much fun! any way thankyou for the help and info I will let you know what happens later on thankyou.

you need XP to create the mms. vista cannot run the dos prompt commands properly.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I'd say not to spend your money on a datel battery yet. Again, I think it's the memory stick. The Pandora battery's responded the way I would expect.
