Hi all

experimenting with Lord of the Rings SE DVDs to XVid using 4.6gb as target, so can be burnt to DVDr.

LOTR1 went well, ended up with two files (one for each disc) totalling 3.78gb or something like that. Both play fine in MP9.

Have just done first disc of LOTR2. Before doing the audio interleaving, the 2nd pass output vid plays as expected in MP9. It is 2.11 GB (2,272,186,368 bytes).

The AC3 file is:- LotR2a AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY -79ms.ac3 and 327 MB (343,351,296 bytes)

Using VDMod, i do the same procedure as done before, use 128 for both values and enter -79 delay. When done my output file is 2.23 GB (2,396,336,128 bytes)

But it wont play sound, i get a "cant play this type of media" message in MP9, it loads the time in (then goes orange with the !mark) but the video starts playing as expected, but silently, in the background.

I know my codecs are ok as can go straight back to completed LOTR1 files and they play fine still.

Please help! Is there a max size either in Vdub or MP9? The maths doesnt seem to add up 272 + 343 doesnt = 396, but then i think i looked and it wasnt exactly precise maths for the other ones.

Please let me know what could be going on/wrong!
