Boomblox and mario kart giving error #001 - unauthorized device detected

So, i've tried burning these two games (NTSC versions on an NTSC console) using imgburn v2.4.1.0.

With mario kart i've tried using WiiBrickBlocker before burning, and after loading the game from the game channel i just get a black screen. if i don't use WiiBrickBlocker I get the #001 error.

With BoomBlox I've only tried a copy that's been run through WiiBrickBlocker and i get that error.

Other games (metroid, house of the dead, super paper mario)all are working fine. any ideas?
