Like the subject says, anyone? If so, what burner do you have and with which software?

I think most people with ANY 4x drive, and ANY software can get 4X burns.

i personally have a Sony DRU-14a (OEM of Sony 510a)
and ive used Nero, and Stomp RecordNow Max

actually, Ritek's G04 is capable of 4X only in certain drives. Some Sony's and Pioneers and others can only burn G04 at 2X. That's from Ritek.

If the drive is capable of burning at 4x, then it should burn at 4x using ritek G04's.
Obviously with the older drives which only write at 2x, then it will only write at 2x regardless of what speed the media can support.

I have a pioneer A06 w/ritek GO4. I am able to burn at 4X with no problem.

For some reason I wasn't able to at first. I did a fresh install of Windows (which I was going to do anyway), and I am now able to burn at 4X.

I am using a Pio DVR 106 and Ritek branded disks which i believe use the G04 dye! I have had no problems so far but i have only done about 10!

'some sonys and pioneers'......maybe they are 2x burners!!!With even the standard supplied firmware 4x burners will burn at 4x.And the g04 dye is the best there is.Logical really!

I have sony dru 510a burnt 23 ritek g04 for ps2 games and dvd movies flawlessly. Great media for great price.
