well my dad bought me a tool battery for my psp phat and well it came read the package and it sed that i must leave it to charge for at least 1 hour, so i did, evry 20 i tried turning it on and nuthin happened, after 1 hour still nuthin left charging all nit in my living room, came downstairs in the morning and my psp had the green led light turned on but the screen was black, tried turning it on and off, still the same, can it be bricked????
p.s. it was working fine with a normal battery about 4 weeks ago....
Use THIS guide to make your magic memory stick (MMS).
Once you put your MMS in, insert your tool battery and the PSP should switch on itself (if not, switch it on). It will bring up a menu, where you will need to press the X button to install custom firmware. Let it do its thing, and it should say something like INSTALL SUCCESSFUL. PRESS X TO SHUT DOWN. press X, and the PSP will switch off. Put your normal battery in and turn the PSP on. you will then have Custom firmware.
This is all explained in more detail, with pics, in the link above.
thnkz evry1 that helpd ALOT! i was getting ready to just bin my psp....but 1 last queestion, do i need to put my normal battery to play games??? or cant i just use the tool battery to play downloaded games view photos videos etc......
You can use it as a normal battery. I've found I get better battery time with my stock battery though, just my observations though-not sure as if it's a world wide phenomenon or only a problem for me.
