sorry....i know this is for PSP.
but i have been searching thoroughly and not taking any chances to miss out any forums that talk about compression.

i have heard of "ISO compressors"

i couldn't find anything about ISO compressors for PC games...
at the very most at Yahoo Answers which they even recommended a few softwares like DVDshrink or smth else. and mostly are related to "PSP ISOs".

is it possible for PC games ISO as well to convert to CSO file format?

I hope i will find an answer here. its been a long learning journey and not having to find one solution to this...you know how it feels.

yeh wrong forum i suppose but anyway.... CSO is a general format... but i dont think a PC would be able to read it unless u burn it on a disc then uncompress it then install.... i dont think its possible...


now more on compression, your best bet would be to rip things out of the ISO such as music and movies etc that should take the size down quite a bit... but i dont like doing rips as it spoils the game

yeh....i never like to rip things off...it just "destroys" the game...like ripping something off from a human...no longer the "original".

Thanks though. from your answer alone,
i guess i cant find any solution here.

i even tried the BEST known Archiver...."KGB Archiver"...didn't work and didn't allow me to compress a file that is larger than 4GB, which most good games are larger than 6GB now, like CNC3...Assasin Creed...etc.

looks like im gonna waste an extra DVD by having to split the game files
