Good SATA Drive

i just got a new computer and i want to use it to back up my games for my 360. But everything is SATA so is there a good Dual layer burning drive that will do 360 and Wii?

personally i have no idea how to back up Wii games as i do not own one.

BUt you can get plenty of drives in SATA these days, plus they have a speed that is about 4 times faster the IDE so i prefer them in my system.

Samsung SH-D163B DVD-ROM for reading original games to back them up. Must be flashed with Kreon firmware. Can get on Ebay

As far as burners i like BenQ, Pioneer, and NEC for brands and i am sure they all make SATA dual layer burners.
Look at Tigerdirect.com and Newegg.com where you can narrow it down to just what you need.

yea man you sound like you are dissapointed that it is sata! lol! thats good, it means it faster! basically just pick a drive and you will be good to go, try to get a name brand though.

well i have the good samsung burner on my old computer and it has never once burned me a coster so i was just wondering if anyone knew of a sata burner that is that good

Personally i would stay clear of Sony, Plextor and Lit-On. I do not like those drives myself. They tend to wear out too quickly.

Really? I thought plextor used to be one of the best brands out there as far as burning media went.

it is person preference i guess. But i did read quite a few people who had trouble making backups due to I/O errors and quite a few were Plextor burners. My top choice is always BenQ.

I'm glad somebody asked this question cause I'm going to be upgrading from my old PC which has IDE to a new one I'm building myself and it will have SATA so i'm glad to know the Pioneer's still work
