Hello. I have a Xbox arcade version with flashed benq drive. The flashed version is ixtreme 1.4. Is it possible for me to go on xbox live market to purchase some tv shows, movies, and DLC for my games? I have some games that are backups and some that are original copies.

as safe as anything else you do online with a modded console.
There is always that chance that you can get banned.

That is one good question. But, i was wondering if anyone has been able to go on the marketplace and buy videos and such without getting banned?

Going on market place on LIVE is same as playing a games on LIVE, so chances getting banned are equally likely.

If you are going to take the chance i say take it to your full advantage and play online also. Might as well.

I would like to get a few more people's opinions on this one, as it seems odd that they would check your drive's firmware just to download a video from the marketplace.

Ok, you are looking for answers. That i understand. What you need to understand is that no one can give you one.

Getting banned is sort of a random thing, there may be a 1000 other people who say sure i went online modded and i am ok, but that does not mean your safe. You most likely knew this before you modded your console (or at least you should have) so you knew the risks that came with the reward.

So my final answer is just do it, unless your going to keep your console off of Live all the time you might as well.

Once you send your IP information to MS they have the ability to determine if you're using modded F/W or backup games.

Nobody knows 100% if Microsoft can check the actual firmware on your machine or the discs you are playing so its always a crap shoot.

Basically like burningas said once you on Live with modded F/W you've already opened Pandoras Box might as well play games as well.
