how to burn 23 avi files to a dvd?

hello i have 23 avi files of heroes season 1 but when i try to burn them to a dvd it says there is not enough room and i need another 744mb.
does anyone know how i can get them all onto a dvd please?

Use a double-layer DVD ?

Even with the extra MB's they are probably going to be compressed heavily. I would split them up, 12 episodes on one disc and 11 on another. Two SL discs would be cheaper than one DL.
