HELP- psp 3.90 m33-2

when i turn my psp on i cant see the menu all i can see is the battery icon and the time. Whats weird is i can go into recovery mode....
oh ya and when i go into recovery mode and enable my usb for flash 0 it opens usb for my memory stick this is the same for all my flash 1,2,3,4

simple u probably deleted an important file for the XMB theme which is what your main menu is called in hacking terms. im not allowed to post a link for the files because its sony has copyrighted it and its against afterdawn rules to post that kind of stuff. use google to find it. type in "original XMB theme file for psp" hope this helps... xP

ya i know if that was the situation then my psp would of been fixed ny now cause i know how to do that but i cant access my flash drives when i select them in recovery mode it opens my memory stick

u know what try formating the memory stick on the computer. i would tell u how, but i don't know how to do this considering this has never happened to me before so i never looked into this. but that should fix it. formating a memory stick usually solves most problems. if this doesn't work try getting a new memory stick and see what happens. u know, just to see if its the memory stick and not the psp, only like a 512mb or less so it doesn't cost u alot...

mmm i tried everything bro, i tried all of dark alex's downgrading tools and none of them worked. im not a noob at psp either i could fix it if i could access my flash 0. well thanks for your help anyways

ohh and with the flash0 problem...something was deleted because in flash0 it has the psp's theme files and if those were deleted some how then thats why its not working. try installing custom themes. try and get one that u dont have to tamper with flash0 and this should work. if not, i would not know what to tell you... (go onto youtube if u dont know how to do this...)

what sucks now is that my psp screen stays black and all my LEDs light up for about 10sec and psp shuts off

probably a brick. :( look for a guide on this site on how to make a pandora battery and magic memory stick. (for the memory stick, buy a new one because once u make a m.m.s., it erases all the files and there is no going back.) hope this helps. if u are afraid of frying ur battery buy a datel tool battery off of ebay. they range from $40 to $80...

you can or cant access recovery mode as this is important to fixing it.
if you can access it use the guide mrgooey linked.
if not do you know anyone with a cfw psp? that can help
if not then you'll have to buy a datel tool battery or hard mod.
id suggest the hard mod if your not to boverd about it anymore or if you want to realy make sure its fixed then buy the datel tool battery.
also if you hard mod you'll need to buy a new battery or solder the pin back but you can still run the psp of mains.
hope that helps explain stuff a bit more

r u sure u are holding the power button up, until the psp turns off, and the green light turns off? did u count to 5 afterwards? did u hold down R and THEN hold up the power button? did u hold the power button all the way and hold down R until the menu pops up? just trying to see if any of these questions could help u...
