Not 100% sure if this is the correct forum to put this in, but here it goes.

I have been converting my VHS tapes onto my PC.

I have been capturing the VHS's using the Kworld DVD maker and the PowerProducer program and so far, i'm happy with the results, a 1h30m video captured into a 6gig MPEG file which is quite large.

I've been splitting up sections of it so i can get some parts of it i want onto youtube, however even though the sections i want are only 1m30s up to 3-4m, they still exceed the 100mb allowance for videos to be posted there.

Every program i've tried which can convert it into WMV, FLV or whatever, the size comes out nice but the problem with the audio is that i get 5-6 seconds of clear audio but then this huge static noise kicks in and you can't hear anything else.

What should i do? I've tried, WinFF amongst other programs and tried converting it into 5 or 6 different formats, but it's all the same, 5 or 6 seconds of perfect audio then it just kicks into static for the rest of the video.

Any help appreciated.
