Hi.I'm looking for a brand new digital camera my old camera is causing me pain (Sony cybershot DSC-P92).
I want to buy a camera with fast photo recuperation,i mean that when i take a photo be ready for another shot in 1-2-3 seconds,if possible.My old camera looks like if need to think b4 take another photo(takes about 12 seconds for another shot),well in certain areas and flash modes.
What you can recommend me?
must be compact
Less than $300.00

different cameras do different things. All in one that has one lens and a 2.5"-3" screen on the back will take a while to shoot one picture. If you want one that will burst shots, one after the other, then you need a more sophisticated camera that has a fast shutter and has a better CCD sensor (this sensor sends a photo light signal to the memory card to store the picture) to it. Just think of it this way.... when you lose camera size you lose more professional features. So those nice neat Sony Cybershot cameras that give great pictures (I have the Sony DSC-N2) but you lose the ability to take that professional sequential shots like this:

this is a .GIF which is made up of 14 sequential shots run together to make it look like a small video. I took these shots with my Canon EOS 30D with my 28-300mm L IS USM zoom lens. So you have to determine what you want in a camera and what options you have money wise. The lag time for smaller digital cameras are common to about 1 second or more. But a DSLR camera can burst out many pictures while holding down the shutter (as you see with the example above) but costs so much more. I don't know that you can buy a camera for $300.00 or so that will give you a burst of pictures like this:

check out the brand of camera you are looking for and go down to CONTINUOUS DRIVE ..... this will tell you how many frames per second you can take by holding down the shutter button! My Canon EOS 30D does 5fps to 3fps up to 30 JPGs!!! now what's pretty fast! Don't forget to get a good memory card to capture at those speeds!

My Kodak z812 has a mode to take up to 5 or 7 pics in a row like an SLR. I am assuming the Kodak isn't the only brand to offer this option. It isn't a fix all for the lag between photos but it can help big time when you are trying to get action shots. I don't think you can get what you want without going to a SLR and they start near 500 and only go from there. Good luck.
