Hi all..

I recently bought a new psp slim with original firmware 3.80 and i'm new to all the firmware upgrades/downgrades. All i want to do is play downloaded games onto my memory stick. So what should I do or which guide should i follow?And I just wana know would customising my firmware disrupt my psp from playing umd games/movies?what should i do to revert back to the original firmware for warranty purposes?

Hi, you will need to use this Unbricker

Because you have a slims you will need a pandora battery and MMS to switch to custom Fw to allow you to do all that you want.

Biggest problem you have now is if you have a V2 or v3 Mobo which would mean you cannot 'soft' mod the battery via your own pSp. Do you know anyone with a CFW psp you could use there psp to make the pandora then.

Switching to CFW should not effect anything you currently do in fact if anything switching will allow you more access to the all the things the psp can do. For warranty you can switch back to OFW by using the same pandora set up without anyone knowing. (unless they look really hard)

Once your on CFW i would recommend getting a UPT stick just hit the link in my sig for it :-)
