The Canadian ISP MoxioColo has been served with cease and desist orders from CRIA to shut down the popular torrent sites What.cd, SumoTorrent, BTMon and FullDls. CRIA, the Canadian equivalent of the RIAA, was in the news last year as well for getting Demonoid closed down after it had moved to a Canadian ISP. Demonoid didn't stay down. :) But the CRIA did have them closed down for a while.

Maybe killed was too strong a word. ;)

It's just desperation on the cria's part because the MPAA and the RIAA and the US gov't is trying to force their values and morality on our country. They all want the consumers to be nothing more than puppets to a regime that only cares about big business.

The cria is a bunch of idiots if they really wanted to go after something in canada then they should go after the illegal satelite tv stealers that are stealing music through there tivo and dvr set boxes. if your music was so good that people wanted to purchase it then they would but if your music sucks then people are going to illegally download the music and tell you off and i would keep fighting because they have no right to go after the isp it is not the isp's fault someone decided to build a torrent site from there server.
