formatted hdd with hdavance but wont show my hdd in winhiip???help???

i am using a 80gb internal hdd that i had used for my fat ps2 before, but then i used it for my ps3 via usb casing, but decided i didnt use it very much, so i wanted to put it back in my ps2. then i put it in my ps2 and formatted it with hdadvance. then it showed up in my computer when i used hdldumb and ps2 handiness, but it wouldnt show up in winhiip (it would say "no ps2 formatted hdd's were found), then i tried copying a game with ps2 handiness (LEGO Star Wars), and then tried marvel vs capcom 2 and out of nowhere it froze. then it finally unfroze, but it now doesnt show up in any of the hdloader programs (winhiip,hdldumb, ps2 handiness). but it show up in my ps2 fine. i also tried changing jumpers when i plugged it in from master to slave, still no luck, any help please

when i hook it up to my computer i always use the cable select jumper option and it works for me. and i might try closing all other apps while you try to transfer games, and just walk away for 10 minutes and let it do its thing.
