Hey,

I work with an IT security company, and have been asked to give a presentation on the security features of the 360 specifically, but I figured some on the original box couldn't hurt also.

Anyways, I'm being asked to look at security features the 360 has in place. One I know of are efuses, where fuses are supposed to be blown purposefully per each successive (I believe) dashboard update. So when a new dashboard comes out, a new fuse is blown, preventing that if somehow the old dashboard was reloaded, it wouldn't be able to run because a necessary fuse for it was blown. Anyways, I'm looking to see if people know of any other security features the 360 has (which basically prevents unsigned code from being run) or links to websites which have that information. Thanks for the help

Really? what are your sources for this? I have never heard of this.

Since all xbox can use the HD DVD, the internals are HDCP compliant. protected audio and video paths.

Here's a couple sources for it. Plus from talking with other people who also know a lot about the 360, and they confirm that they have found the same things.

if you need more, I'll see where else I found the info. I don't have them all saved.

Just google "Xbox 360 security features." I know the whole 360 security seems to be based off of a "hypervisor concept."
