I ran dvddecryp and shrink and created shrinked iso file to 46%
The quality of the movie has suffered especially when I play it on HDTV.
The Movie is American Gangster and is about 8.2 G in size and I can only fit 4.7Gb into a DVD
I don't want to compress the movie and therefore will have to create 2 DVDs. How can I do this either Through Dvddecrypter or DVD shrink. TIA

Reauthor mode and use edit bars on controls. Creat 2 output files 1 at a time , where the 2nd file starts from the end of the first.

I am in Re-Author, I got
Menu
title menu
VT1
main movie size
title 1 7,442,xxx
title 2 6,675,xxx
extras
title 3
title 4
What you're saying is that I have run it twice with no compression.
Now what do I move on the left side. Please be more explicite cause I am not to familiar with this section. Thanks

KInda complex explanation. Try dvdfab platinum instead and use split to 2 discs, much easier. split to 2 disc custom mode.Set output to iso. You will get 2 files to burn. Burn using Imgburn, each file(disc) separately)
dvdfab plat 30 day free trial
www.dvdfab.com
Imgburn free from
www.imgburn.com
Or if capable, you could always burn a dual layer disc (1 disc), without needing to split into 2 discs.

I think I got it,
I moved everything on the left, up to title 1 of the main movie. Removed the compression, then went into the 2 ][ and chose up to frame-12, 3.9 GB, then went to BACK-UP and creating an Iso file part-a
Then I will take where I left off of title 1, and move the rest to the left plus title 3 and 4,and create another Iso file Part-b
Now Title 2 is the same as main movie like title-1, I am not copying it, why do they have 2 of them, both english spoken. Any reason

Well I did it, but seems I lose the structure and all menus show up and cannot chose the language.
I there a way to keep the structue of the film.

No, in reauthor mode u lose all menu functionality
2) also sometimes 2 or more titles due to structure protection ( to foul all of us dvd backing uppers up) or multiple angles. It is a guessing game as to which title is the one to back up. Usual rule of thumb is the longest title set, but as of late, not always
Only way to keep structure of film is to use dual layer or dvdfab platinum split to 2 disc

i AM TRYING this little longer but,
took the title, re-author up to chapter 11 and created created a backup file not iso.
then took the original file and copied to another drive. removed all the movie file with sound and imported the re-author file created.
Well I got the film but missing the menu, maybe I erased something I will see it tomory but it looks structure.

Looks like dvdshrink removes the menu, so I tried dvdfab 4120.
Created 2 dvd no compression with menu on a DVD+R
Now when it comes to play on my Panasonic S-29, it read the menu, but when it come to play the movie it brings me to extra scenes commentary. then back to main menu and then freezes. but wont play movie, same with disk 2.
But when I play on my laptop, it plays ok, is there something I missed, that it won't play on the S-29. tia

Output the files for the 2 separate discs as iso
Burn the iso's with Imgburn
Imgburn free from www.imgburn.com

Retried again, and it worked, but did something differently.
Instead of DVD+R I used DVD-R did this make a diff. Maybe
Burned at 4x speed while the other one was left on auto
Also there were 2 movie files Title-1 and titl-2 different aspect ration 4:3 and the other wide screen so, I only chose title-2
After the processing, I chose Nero
Now which of the above made a diff.

Better to burn slower than faster (I always burn at 4x) but u can burn at 1/2 of rated speed
Usw good media as Taiyo Yudens,Verbatims or $ony's
-R very compatible with stand alone players
+R when booktyped to dvd-rom, very high compatibility on stand alones
