Perhaps try the other one posted?
Hi you don't need to deactivate your chip, just play it as any backup.
You only need to deactivate the chip when you play an ORIGINAL game online.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but by using codes posted online you are greatly increasing your chances of being banned. Also, you must have a mod chip just to use the Disc ID Utility correct?
I have an a version 4 PS2 (The large sized console), but I have yet to mod it. The tray makes a little noise coming out. Since my PS2 makes some noise and what not, should I buy a new slimline PS2? I don't like the fact that consoles all have a brick in the middle of the cord nowadays, however, I will gladly cope with it. As for the mod chip, I'm either going to get a Matrix Infinity Green Dot or DMS 4 Pro. I've heard those two are in the top 3, so I figure I can't go wrong. I did have a hard time finding detailed info on both chips, so if you know where I may find some please drop a link or PM. Mainly just that I read the Matrix has a stealth feature, and I was unable to find any info on whether or not the DMS4 has something like it. I don't play online, ever, but I would rather be safe than sorry for the time I do. BTW, are there any wiki based sites for list, so as the users of said list may update and organize it in the process? Just a random thought. I doubt I'll use my PS2 much after doing all of this for the simple fact that there's a PS3, WII, Xbox 360, etc to buy. I look at blowing money as I can't take it with me when I die...
As for places to get apps required and more you may check out www.sksapps.com They have stuff like BIOS updates or whatever for mod chips and such too I believe.

Although I don't use a mod chip, I've never had an issue with playing online with a patched DNAS game. Besides Socom games and another one I forgot what it was. These games go through a check other then a DNAS check. 95% of the time, They can not be patched and played online. Other games don't have issues.

Would it be possible to patch an iso with the DNAS (off of the original disk) and then be able to play it online off of a hdd with hdloader?
