well i've searched too long over this error in the psp so ill make a new thread.

well 2 weeks ago i bought a psp for $25 there was a bettery problem and i fixed it. I still have the analog stick problem wheich i can live with but is irritating because when plyaing a game the character starts to move on its own.

I recently downgraded my psp and then brought it up to 3.95GEN and when i play something like wipe out pulse it strts the game then on the load screen right before the race it freezes for 15-20 sec and then closes i have also tryed plying FF crisis Core and it same thing happens right after you finish a mission. so i prasume it will be the same for all the other games. these are all iso files that i load from my memorycard i own the games but want to store them so i dotn have to carry around all those games so if you could help plz tel me

what no umd have you got on.

try the different ones there and see if they help.

it unlikly but it may be a bug in the fw as 3.95GEN is very new and only came out yesterday so its unknown of the bugs that may be in it.

also if you go into recovery mode change some of the umd settings (there is 2 settings for iso in advanced configeration)

apart from that i dont what is worng

well i have a umd in there its the game calle ddaxter and i was having the same problem when i had 3.90 M33-3 or what every its called and the onli reason i ungraded it is because i thought it would be fixed but i was wrong i have also tryed andother umb but same hting happends. And i have set the UMD iso mode to OE isofs

I forgot to tell you that the same thing happend when i tried to scan for wireless internet twice. I start scanning, it froze and then 15-20 sec later it shut doen but that was onli 2 times.

change the umd to m33 that should fix the umd frezzing (in GEN has m33) if no change it to the sony one.

Nope i changes it to M33 but still the same thing happens. First the game starts allright i go and pick my course then my ship and whn it comes to the load screen where there is a electrosity moving on the bottom of the screen. then it stops i clik home but nothing happens and then it shuts down the whole psp.

maybe a bad iso so if you can try another one or try it on another psp.

also if you have any plug ins make sure they are all disabled

well i have alos tryed playing final fantasy crisis core and after i fisish the first mission it frezzes and closes, i think it tryes to read something and then closes cuz it cant read it and i dont know hoe to change plug ins

well do any other iso do it apart from wipeout pulse and ffcc.

if they dont the its likly they are bad isos

if they do it as well then it may be some settings that need to be change.

Well i have also tryed the naruto game it starts up shows the makers bandi and then black screen. then it closes, i also have resently heard noises when i put in my charger to charge my psp it make a screechign sound but is very faint.

i think that gen has much the same set up in recovery mode as m33

so change these thing and see if it helps

configuration
- umd mode - sony np9660
- free umd region - enabled

those are unlikly to fix it but it will just help to have them set on that for the mo

advanced
- advanced configuration
- plain modules in umd/iso - disabled
- execute boot.bin in umd/iso - disabled

these are likly to be the problem as iv had problems before with these two.


the charge screaching is normal mine does it all the time but you can hardly hear it.

hold the power switch up till it flashes and switches the psp off. then hold the r trigger and turn the psp back on and it will take you to the recovery menu
