Hello. I am trying to install custom firmware on a psp slim firmware 3.95. I am using the following guide...

Ultimate Downgrader Guide

I am following the guide for the slim on the SECOND post in the thread.

I have followed all the steps to the bottom - using my psp fat battery and psp fat to run the programs etc..

however i am at the bottom and i now have no idea what to do!! If i put my memory stick and battery into the slim now - the green power light turns on without me asking it to and i have no screen. I can boot the slim psp fine off of the ac power or normal battery.

can anybody help???

Please dont use computer language too much because i dont get it.. yeah?

As your PSP turns itself on with a black screen, that means your pandora has been created successfully, as this is what happens when the PSP boots to service mode.

However, as nothing is displayed on your screen when the MMS is inserted, your magic memory stick has not been made correctly. Format your memory card, and remake the MMS using THIS guide. You can ski[p all the stuff about pandora/tool batteries as you already have one working.

hope that helps.

I think the recommended size is 512mb - 2gb, so you may have more luck with the smaller MS. Try remaking with the guide i linked you to, it's really easy to follow.
