Deal extreme is good, only down side is shipping. Takes forever for your stuff to arrive, my stuff took like 14 days.

The memory card should work unless you get a defective one. You definitely do NOT need magic gate to play games and homebrew. I've been using an 8gb micro sdhc card in a pro duo adapter - and it' definitely not Magic Gate. It's worked wonderfully for the last couple weeks.
That said, I personally wouldn't count on a bootleg card. It'll definitely be slower to load (not to play) and in the long run might be less reliable. But that's just my opinion.

That card is magic gate supported so you should be good.

I think that last statement is wrong. Though the card says "magic gate" - the reviews for the individual card state that it's not.
Again, it should work anyway - but being fake, the card will not be magic gate supported in your psp. You can tell when you load it and press "triangle" in the memory card section of your psp.

Your probably right man, considering it's coming from hong kong. It does say that it is magic gate supported though.

Actually, I can take it one step further I realize. I bought one of those 2gig memory cards for a friend knowing it was fake. Even though it has the Sony logo and claims magic gate - it definitely was not when we tried it on the PSP. It still played well, however.
Keep in mind that they've intentionally blurred the sony logo on the images because they don't want to get sued by Sony.
All that said, I have bought a bunch of stuff from deal extreme and I've been happy with their service overall.

I know someone who got one of the dealextreme duo cards and it works, but the transfer speed is not nearly the speed of the lexar and sony ones.
I've purchased from dealextreme before and they are a good outfit. If I were you, I wouldn't chance getting the duo stick, even though I'm a fan of dealextreme.
