Trying to install pandora's battery but found out in a tutorial that we need custom firmware before this can be acheived.

In another tutorial, it says that to install custom firmware , i need to install pandora's battery. I've hit a paradox, i feel confused and frustrated.

I have 3.73 Official Firmware, i am completely aware of how to install pandora's battery but the only thing stopping me is the custom firmware.

I don't know anybody else with either custom firmware or even a psp itself.

I get the error code '8002014C' when trying to install pandora's battery installer - which after following the tutorial to each intricate detail the only thing outstaning was that we didn't have custom firmware.

Anybody help on this matter?

you are NOT suppose to be running anything on official firmware; you will always get the error.

use THIS guide. you CANNOT flash your battery. you must either hardmod or buy the datel TOOL battery.

yes. and if you only have one battery, you must resolder pin 5 to make it normal again.
