Ok people, I wanted to buy Pioneer 112D, but I was told from a shop that they don't have it. They offered, however Pioneer 115D (what seems to be newer). What are your opinions on it? Should I get it? And how does it perform writing X360 games vs 111D and 112D?

Yeah Pioneer 115D is basically the same thing as previous numberings, they changed 1 little thing and change the number.
115D is the current model.

Thanks for the reply.
Will it automatically set the right booktype settings for DL DVD discs, so I don't have to mess with anything?

No need to set anything, it will auto bitset for you.
And that is a top of the line burner. Take care of it.

Ok, I burned my very first game (Mass Effect) with this burner at 2-2,4x speed. Everything is fine and the game plays good, but whenever a cut-scene starts, it seems to take some time for the textures to load, for example the cut-scene starts and some of the textures appear to be blurry, but few seconds later they are loaded and it's all fine.
Is it normal in this game, or should I have burned a bit faster? In addition, sometimes, though very rarely, the cut-scenes skip a few frames. Maybe it's because of framerate instability, or whatever, but is this all normal?
I'm not saying, I'm not satisfied. I am, more than enough :P, but there are simply some minor glitches, I would like to figure out.
E: I did some research and found out that the game is like this by default (the texture pop in), so everything is 100% fine.

yeah. Glad you got it.
I would not burn at more than 2.4X, Read error tests have shown that the faster you burn, the more write error gets produced. But then why not burn at 1X? Because you want to find that perfect balance; you don't want it to take 3 hours, and you don't want it to burn half of the disc with errors, so 2.4X takes 40mins and minimal errors.

Hey guys i recently flashed my 360, however i am now finding it difficult to burn games on my internal pioneer 115d dvd burner. I was just wondering what program you guys use to burn games on this drive. Do i need custom firmware? must i use the hotswap method?
Any response would be greatly appreciated.

no you do not need a custom FW to burn, as homesick said use imageburn or clone cd. make sure you select the .dvd file, or you HAVE to manually input the layerbreak in the setting section.
how did you acquire your games though? download, rip them yourself; as this could be part of the problem as well?
