*psp slim(the new god of war edition, if it makes a difference, which I doubt)
*currently firmware 3.80 m33-5, but also happened when I had 3.95 gen on it
*any iso game, every few seconds seems to lag some
*the games I have tested it on are: the warriors, gta:lcs, lego indiana jones, god of war
*my memory stick has MagicGate supported if I go to video, hit triangle, then information
Now on to the problem, whenever I play an iso game, it lags every few seconds. I had thought it might have been something to do with the 3.95 gen firmware, so I downgraded to 3.80 m33-5, and it is still doing the same thing. To test it, I played god of war on the umd, and there was no lag, so I made a new rip of the umd to my pc via vshmenu(changing usb connection to umd, then copying it over) I then proceeded to copy the iso back to the psp, and run that and it lagged.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you need anymore info let me know.
now go to your game memory stick and load up psar dumper and wait while it decrypts the 3.71 update (make sure you have enough space)
one finished go to where it has place all the files and find the folder named F0
in there; there should be another folder called kd and then in there ; there is the fatmsmod.prx
now copy the fatmspatch to your psp game390 folder (i think lol)and copy the fatmsmod to the root of you mem stick
x:\fatmsmod.prx (where x is the psp drive)
then go to the game icon again and then load up the fatmspatch and then install the fatmsmod
also change the no-UMD to m33 as sony np9660 lags if you update to 3.90m33-3 that is fixed
also what size are the isos because gow as you should know is 1.6gb around so if a game like that was compressed to 800mb as a cso then its likly to lag a lot more than the iso at 1.6gb
gtalcs is also 1.5gb so any lower than that and its likly that may be the problem.
if there cso convert them back to iso and see if that helps though iv never realy had any problems with cso games
Thanks for the help, unfortunately it did not fix it, it still lags like every 10 seconds. The iso size of the god of war I tried is: 1,605,662,720 bytes, it is a direct rip, never compressed it any. Is there anything else that would cause this to happen?
I am not sure which did it, the new memory card, or running it in FAT instead of FAT32 like you suggested, but it seems to run without lag now. I ended up buying a 4 gig sandisk ultra 2 for $49.99 on sale at circuit city.
