I just bought the cheapest dremel to cut the xbox case for my 6 fan fan mod. It's the 4.8V cordless rated at 10,000 and 20,000rpm. I was afraid this would be too slow but didn't want to spend $35 for the 35,000rpm AC dremel.

The dremel you guys have: what's the speed. i hope mine won't be too slow.

I also bought a $5 cutting wheel bit, would this cut through the metal?

It shoud work, my dremel has 6 speed settings from 10000rpm to 33000rpm, just make sure that when you use it you dont hold it to plastic case for too long, as it can make it melt and you'll be left with a rough finish, when I cut my 360 case i cut the hole 1cm smaller, and then worked my way out slowly to achieve a smooth finish, finished it all of my spraying the case a gloss black. ;)

Ended up exchanging it for the 35,000RPM. 10,000 just doesn't seem it's going to cut metal...
