hy, i have a 4gb mem stick and use it to play games music etc. It is fake i know but it doesnt matter because my games work fine on it expet of the gtas which lagg. I need another memory stick to put more games on. What are the pros and cons of getting a real memstick as opposed to a fake? thanx

well these are the cons of the fake

A) They have slow read/write speed and they slow in time (normal ms pro duo get about 5mb <-> as said on my vista but my fake get 1.5 max)

B) They fall to bits (over about 1month or 2months or if lucky 6months)

C) They dont work (you buy them dud or they break competly after a month or so)

D) Less memory (loads of bad blocks in the way the memory card has been made and formated cant realy be change)

E) Memory can become corrupt (blocks of memory will randomly become unreadable)

F) No real warranty on them (no sending them back)

the pros of a fake are that they are dirt cheap so you can afford to waste your money a bit

with the genuin ones imagin all that but the other way around

they still arnt that expensive seen a genuin 4gb for £34 so there not to bad

Or what you could do is buy a microsd to pro duo adaptor. Microsd cards are cheaper than pro duos, and the adaptor only costs a few quid from ebay. If in the UK I find play.com sell their microsd card pretty cheap.

Only one downside, microsd cards, as the name suggests, are very small cards, about the size of your pinky finger's nail. So if you buy several you better have a good way of storing them, cos otherwise you can loose them very easly.
