Hi. Just wondering is there a way to play avi files on a normal dvd player that plays, dvd-r, vcd, mp3 and the usual formats? let me know, thanks

i would like to do this without converting the AVI files. i know the ps2 has some media player that helps them play AVI files, just wondering if there was something like that for normal dvd players. thanks

Generally speaking no, but there are a few newer set-top dvd players that can. Check out http://www.divx.com/hardware/?src=toptab_hardware_from_/index.php
