First off jmarkoa and Snowface, you two helped me SO MUCH in your replies to Blakbeard's thread.
Ok, now to my problem.
First I will explain everything I did.
- Ripped the whole american pie 2 dvd into a folder.
- Found the movie to be in VTS_06.
- Opened VTS_06_0.IFO with IfoEdit.
- Found the PGC (program chain) that contained the movie was PGC_1 (program chain 1). There was 40 in total! wow. anyway...
- I noted PGC_1 (uses VOB-ID's: 3,1,2,4)
- Clicked VOB Extras
- Under options: Checked only Strip Steam, Strip VOB, Correct Vob-unit, Correct IFO, Create new. Under VOB file options: Checked everything!.
- Chose new destination and clicked OK.
- Kept only Audio 1: English(Dolby AC-3 6ch 48kbps DRC normal)
- Clicked strip it.
- Kept Vobid 1, 2, 3, and 4.
- Clicked strip it.
- IfoEdit started to stripping.
- When done I closed IfoEdit and opened the NEW ifo in the destination I chose. Note: The name changed from VTS_06_0.IFO to VTS_01_0.IFO along with all the corresponding VOB files (which is what we want).
- Sure enough only one program chain existed now PGC_1. (which contained the movie. Listed the chapters and cells for each chapter etc.
- Clicked Get VTS Sectors, couple boxes came up I just hit ok ok ok..it did its thing.
- Closed IfoEdit and opened the new VIDEO_TS.IFO and clicked Region free. Some people didnt mention this part but some did, I chose to do it. Tried to close IfoEdit and prompted if I wanted to exit w/out saving changes etc. So I clicked no and saved (assuming the region free part) then exited IfoEdit.
- To prepare for burn Changed the "new" folder to VIDEO_TS and made an empty folder AUDIO_TS.
- Using NERO..Chose DVD-Rom(UDF/ISO) format to burn. Unchecked Joliet (someone said to). and Burned the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.
- The DVD worked BUT the first chapter was missing! Jumped straight to the part Jim getting hom from college which is chapter 2.
- I opened the original VTS_06_0.IFO (contained the movie) and in PGC_1 it lists the chapters like this...

10, 11.
- Then opened the new IFO to compare and..
[Pg 01] [cell 01]

As you can see, stuff changed here! the first 7 cells are no longer in the first chapter...its saying the first chapter starts with [cell 08].
If anyone can help me why this did this pls reply. I am very new to all this and any help will be appreciated. Remember the DVD did work just skipped the beginning of the movie (started at chapter 2...cell 08 to be more specific.
Sorry for long post but wanted to state everything I did so no questions like...what did you do..what did you use..etc.
